The Stanford Treeathlon returns for a fifth year in the Port of Redwood City in Redwood City, California. Collegiate, age group and relay options are available.

The Treeathlon is the primary fundraiser for the Stanford Triathlon Team. Funds raised from the race sustain our mission to raise awareness of the sport and to expose the Stanford community to tri-fitness.

The Treeathlon is also Stanford University's contribution to the West Coast Collegiate Triathlon Conference (WCCTC) race series, and we have separate collegiate and non-collegiate divisions for entry.

Packet Pickup and Registration

Packet pickup will be held on Friday Feb. 24 from 6-8PM at Sports Basement in Sunnyvale (1177 Kern Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085). Sports Basement is hosting a packet pickup party near our booth, offering 10% off all of your Sports Basement purchases and donating 10% of net purchases to the Canary Foundation.
We will also be hosting packet pickup on Saturday at the Pacific Shores Club (1100 Seaport Blvd., Redwood City, CA 94306) from 12-6PM if you cannot make it to Sports Basement on Friday night. The Stanford Tri team will be there to answer any pre-race questions you may have.

Online registration is open for the Treeathlon and Saplingathlon.

Location

The races will kick off from 1600 Seaport Blvd in Redwood City.

Directions:

From Highway 101 North or South, take the Woodside Road / Seaport Blvd exit - you want to go NORTH on Seaport Blvd. Head all the way to the end of Seaport Blvd to the Office park at the end, where you will see a big sign for "Pacific Shores Center". Please look carefully for the signs after entering the Pacific Shores Center complex. You will turn right and drive on the inside lane. Follow signs for the appropriate parking. See a parking map here.

From I-280 North or South, take the Woodside Road exit, and follow Woodside Road NORTH until it crosses under 101 and becomes Seaport Blvd. From there follow the directions above.

Please note that within the Pacific Shores Center, you will always drive counterclockwise on the inside lane.

Parking

Athlete parking is in the 2100 and 2000 parking lots ONLY. Volunteer parking is in the 2000 lot. The transition area is just across the athlete and volunteer parking lots, and is labeled in green in the parking map. Spectator parking will be in the 1300 lot, halfway around the loop. There is a grassy area next to this lot that makes an excellent spot to view the bike course!

Transition and parking will open on Sunday at 7AM. Event parking is available in the 2000 and 2100 Seaport Blvd. Parking lots and will be clearly marked by signs. Transition is located in the 1600 Seaport Blvd. lot.

Parents of Saplingathlon participants are welcome to park at athlete parking (2100/2000 Seaport Blvd).

For more details, have a look at the Parking Map.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE PACIFIC SHORES CENTER.

Course Preview

Do not preview the course. Pacific Shores Center and the Marina are very generous in offering the use of their facilities to us to race in. Their main concern is that we respect their property. In particular at the Marina there are folks who live there, and their privacy is important. So we ask that you please do NOT go to the marina to preview the race course. The bike and run courses will be available for preview the day of packet pickup Feb 25th, and of course, if you have questions, we will be happy to answer them. Please respect this small request, as we would like to have the course available for Treeathlon use in future years. Again, we're looking forward to the race! Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.

Race Start Time
